Tony’s Town Square—Dinner Review

On our trip to Disney World this past December, we decided to try dinner at Tony’s Town Square inside the Magic Kingdom.

This Italian-style table service restaurant is based on the restaurant where Lady and the Tramp shared their infamous spaghetti kiss. The food wasn’t bad at all, and the cast members we interacted with were AMAZING (shout out to Madison at the host stand who was so cool to talk to and our server Rachel who was adorable and funny).

So lets get down to what we ordered!

The Start

Each meal starts with complimentary bread and dipping oil for the table. The bread is focaccia style and warm. 2 of the 3 of us really liked it, the other one isn’t a fan of focaccia but ate it because they were starving.

We also got wine and this wine cocktail made with fruit juice and Prosecco ($13). It was delicious and not too sweet.

Let’s dive into the main courses that we (Mom, Me, and G-ma) ordered.

Ravioli

Mom got the ravioli plate, which features spinach and ricotta ravioli, heirloom tomatoes, wilted chard, hazelnut, and lemon-Parmesan crema. It was very delicious. The balsamic glaze was sweet and pine nuts added a nice texture. The tomatoes tasted fresh and the sauce was light and creamy. She (happily) devoured every bite.

Current cost is $23 with no added protein, $27 with chicken, and $30 with grilled shrimp.

Italian Trio

I ordered the Italian Trio so I could get a taste of the various options available. This plate includes chicken parmigiana, fettuccini Alfredo, and spaghetti with a pork-beef meatball. This was pretty good, and the sizes of each of the tree dishes was pretty big, so don’t go into this thinking its small sample sizes of each! It is a lot of food. To me, the Alfredo was good, but it was just pasta in Alfredo sauce—nothing special there. The Chicken parmigiana was yummy and crispy. It had good flavor and the chicken was juicy. The spaghetti was good but the real star here was the meatball. OMG. I would come back and order anything with that meatball on it over, and over again.

Current price is $33.

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

G-ma decided to stick with an easy choice and got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. This dish is a lot better with chicken! The chicken is herb-grilled and was juicy with loads of flavor. If you are a lover of Alfredo-style pastas, this one is a good one to go with (especially with the chicken!)

Current price $23, or $24 with shrimp instead of chicken.

Dessert

To be fair, this was a free dessert. We were stuffed and weren’t planning on getting anything, but Rachel noticed my G-ma’s birthday pin and brought us a chocolate birthday desert. It was decadent and delicious. We couldn’t finish it because we were so full, though.

Overall Thoughts

We like this restaurant, and it is one of G-ma’s favorite places to eat in Disney World. We would definitely go here again. Mom said she would order the ravioli again in a heartbeat and I would definitely get the meatball again. Next time we wold like to go during lunch to have parade viewing on the patio during the Festival of Fantasy parade.
